Artist photographic interpretation of an aloe flower stalkI just posted an attempt at "arty-farty" using a photo of an aloe flower stalk that has slowly been growing and opening out on my patio over the last month or so. I tried to create the feel of an old photograph with toning suggestive of age and the addition of noise to suggest the graininess of old photos. Hope you like it.

So just one more day and it's Thanksgiving here in the United States. For the 8th year running, I will be celebrating with a group of friends who take turns at hosting. This year Karen is up to bat. With my latest digital artwork, "Under the Mountain Sky," I wanted to capture that feeling of finding your own private world in the middle of a vast landscape. A Story by Firelight This romantic image features a gay cowboy couple sharing a quiet evening, settling in against a tree to read by the light of a campfire. It's a simple moment, but it speaks volumes about comfort, safety, and deep affection. I focused heavily on the lighting contrast to tell this story.
