Any of you who have king palms in your gardens will know that when the spent branches fall, the inside of the lower part of the branch that wraps around the trunk is a beautiful rich gold/bronze color, and is a work of art in itself. I have known of artists who use them as canvases to paint on or as part of mixed-media compositions.
Here are three works from a photo of the inside of one such branch that was shed from one of the king palms in my garden, viewable as part of the digital art portfolio.
