Allen's Hummingbird

Allen's Hummingbird
Allen's Hummingbird
I have many hummingbirds that visit the feeders I have in my garden. The most colorful of them are the tiny, but very feisty, Allen's hummingbirds.

These are migratory birds that spend the summers in the northern parts on North America, and winter over in Mexico. At least that's how it used to be. Not that many years ago I would not see these birds visit at all, but in the last 5 years they stop by on their migration, and in fact, some actually seem to now stay year round. I guess that's a reflection of our warming climate.
