Viewing RAW files in Windows Explorer and Photo Gallery

If you shoot in RAW like me, and use a Windows computer like me, you might like to download Microsoft's RAW file viewer. The download will work on both Vista and Windows 7 machines (sorry XP holdouts).

With this installed you can view your RAW files when using Windows Explorer or the Windows Photo Gallery. Sometimes if you are just looking for a photo that you want to quickly locate, installing this on your computer will save you having to fire up Photoshop Bridge or Lightroom to view your RAW files.

If you are sitting there scratching your head wondering what the hell RAW files are, here is an interesting article on the differences and pros and cons of RAW and JPEG files.
