Photo Restorations - Hot Air Balloon
This is a series of "before" and "after" photos of a hot air balloon. The photos were taken by one of my friends many years ago and were scanned for me to restore. The images I worked from were jpeg files. All of the photos needed spot and scratch repair, as well as color-caste removal, and repair of the washed-out sky background. I took some artistic licence, and added sky and clouds to the background in many of the photos so as to create a sense of "depth-of-field", and more visual interest. I hope Karen doesn't mind!
Hot Air Balloon #8 - Before Restoration
The balloon is starting to move away from us so in all the restorations from here to the end I create a sense of movement by placing clouds in the sky behind the balloon. As the balloon gets higher and smaller, I reveal more of the clouds behind the balloon creating an impression of distance and movement away from us.
