Grand Canyon with pines and buttes

This picture of the Grand Canyon from the South Rim is one of my favorite photos from my trips there. I have previously posted a version of this photo, but I just reworked it as I'm preparing a print of it for some friends. It was taken on my first trip to the Grand Canyon in 2005, back when I was still shooting in jpeg with a Nikon Coolpix and didn't yet have an SLR digital camera. You can see my previous version of this photo further back in the gallery. I have printed that one before and it looks pretty good, but I know this one is going to look even better when printed. I think this is a good example of how devoting time to learing Photoshop can help you develop even better photos over time. I'll hope you agree that there is some progress between this photo and the original one I posted.
