Animal Spirits (vision-of-animal-spirits)

The title of this piece is a reference to Joseph Campbell's writings on world mythologies. He tells how the American Indians danced dressed in animal costumes in honor of the animal spirits who not only provided food, but lead one on your spiritual journey. The background comes from a photo of Native American rock drawings in Arches National Park in Utah. This is my representation of the animal spirits leading us to the afterlife. Labels: artistic
