Dahlia #1

This dahlia was at one of the florist stands at Pike Place Market in Seattle. I loved the red and yellow, but in this version I isolated the flower in the foreground, and then applied vaious fliters including blue over the background flowers. That way it gives more emphasis to the foreground flower, and also adds additional overall interest to the photo. This has turned out to be one of the most popular of my photos. Women often pick it from my portfolio for prints.
