Yes, I'm still here. Have just been very busy with visitors staying and also working on lots of wedding photos.
Anyhow, I thought I'd have some fun tonight and revisit the photos I took at Arches National Park in Utah which I took in May of last year.
I played around a bit with the photos and found something I really like. The rocks in the park, as in much of the deserts of Arizona and Utah, are pretty red. I desaturated all the colors in these photos, but left more of the reds in place. It really highlights the shape of the rocks and turns the sky and clouds to silver, providing a great background for the rocks. I hope you like the effect.
I have uploaded the photos to my U.S. Landscapes gallery at ImageKind. There is a sale of 25% off custom framing running till August 18th. If you buy any framed artwork from ImageKind in that period, use promo code Plunge25 to get the discount.

Hi John,
as always, love the photos! We traveled through Utah earlier this summer, and wanted to see Arches Nat'l Park, but couldn't due to time constraints (we wanted to get to the Grand Canyon by late afternoon).
I did see and shoot some pretty amazing rock formations along the way, and posted them on the 'blog last month. Arches will be for another trip!
Best regards,
Mike Z
